Proof of language skills
Excellent skills in English are required to succeed in degree programmes provided in English. Applicant language proficiency is assessed in the entrance examination on a pass/fail basis. Applicants who fail the language test will be excluded from admission. Some programmes may require all applicants to take the compulsory language section of the entrance examination without exception. When applying to a degree programme provided in English, applicants need not submit evidence of language proficiency.
Applicants to the Degree Programme in Social Services offered by Diaconia University of Applied Sciences do not need to have any profeciency in Finnish. Note, however, that some other universities of applied sciences may require some profeciency in Finnish even when applying to degree programmes provided in English.
